Bellingham Road closures and restrictions October 6-10

The Bellingham Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week October 6 - 10, 2008 to accommodate construction.

Northshore Drive

Interwest Construction, Inc., under a contract with the City of Bellingham, will be finishing minor repairs on Northshore Drive between Alabama Street and Britton Road. Brief delays may be encountered at various locations along the project corridor. Sunset Drive (SR542)

Ram Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue construction on Sunset Drive from Woburn Street to McLeod Road. Traffic will be disrupted between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm as large trucks enter and exit the site, and flaggers direct traffic to a single lane. Victor Street and Grant Street

Larry Brown Construction, under a contract with the City of Bellingham, will be installing traffic calming facilities on Victor Street between Meridian Street and Northwest Avenue and on Grant Street between Alabama Street and Virginia Street. These projects are part of the annual Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program. Bay/Holly/Prospect

Tiger Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be removing sidewalks, streetlights and excavating for new storm water pipes at the intersection of Bay Street, Holly Street and Prospect Street. Bay Street will be closed to vehicle traffic during most of the project, however, there will be pedestrian access to all businesses at all times.
