Bellingham Road closures and restrictions November 3-7

The Bellingham Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week November 3-7, 2008, to accommodate construction.

Bakerview/Irongate

Granite Northwest, Inc., under contract with the City of Bellingham, is installing a storm system in conjunction with the traffic signal project at the intersection of E. Bakerview Road and Irongate Road. Drivers should expect delays when traveling through this intersection. Sunset Drive (SR542)

Ram Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue construction on Sunset Drive from Woburn Street to McLeod Road. This week work will include storm sewer construction, sanitary sewer upgrades and private utility relocations. The work will involve excavating across the road. Traffic will be disrupted between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm as large trucks enter and exit the site and flaggers direct traffic to a single lane. Bay/Holly/Prospect

Tiger Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be installing sidewalks and working on new pavers and art features at the intersection of Bay Street, Holly Street and Prospect Street. Bay Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, however, there will be pedestrian access to all businesses at all times.
