| Blaine to hold ribbon cutting for new waste water reclamation facility |

![]() Blaine Washington - The Lighthouse Point Water Reclamation Facility is the City of Blaine’s new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility. Lighthouse Point will improve water quality in shellfish harvesting areas, offset increasing water demands by producing high quality reclaimed water, and meet treatment needs through 2030. This attractive facility has been carefullydesigned to complement the surrounding waterfront Marine Park. This ceremony marks the culmination of over 10 years of planning forthe largest city project in Blaine’s history. Construction of this $30M facilitybegan June 2, 2008 and treatment of wastewater began on June 29, 2010.
