INV and FTA are though to be prepended to criminal violation messages from certain police forces

• DWLS - Driving While License Suspended
• RES BURG - Residential Burglary
• VIOL NCO - Violation of a Non Contact Order
• MAL MISCH - Malicious Mischief
• DV - Domestic Violance

I am waiting a response from either the Whatcom County Sheriff or any of the Police Departments in Whatcom County for description of all criminal report acronyms and I will update when any new information comes in.
